Mobile Bicycle Mechanic
Are you a skilled bicycle mechanic who loves working with people as much as turning a wrench? We are Joe's Mobile Bicycle Repair and Rental, an expanding mobile bicycle repair service looking for professional, customer service-oriented people to join our team part-time, with a direct path to full-time work as we progress. As local bike shops close down, the demand for mobile mechanics has increased tremendously, and we are heavily preparing for our busy winter season!
What You'll Do
Drive to the client
Travel to the job location in your own reliable vehicle.
Engage & Dress Well
Present yourself professionally, dress well, and greet the customer.
Assess & Educate
Look over the bike, discuss needs, and educate the client on their bike's condition and safety.
Repair
Perform the repair using our established systems and processes.
Test Ride & Review
Test ride the bike to ensure 100% safety and quality, then review the finished work with the customer.
What We Service
The majority of our work involves e-bike flats, e-bike troubleshooting, traditional bikes, adult tricycles, tandems, and four-wheel quad bikes/surreys.
What We're Looking For
- Articulate and presentable — you excel at engaging with clients and educating them on bike safety.
- Must have a reliable vehicle, your own bicycle tools, and a work stand. (Missing some items? We can help — details discussed at interview.)
- Previous bicycle mechanic experience preferred, but we will fully train the right motivated person eager to learn our systems.
